MarketCrystal ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Steve Horton as a sole proprietorship based in Texas, United States. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use marketcrystal.ai.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Email address -- provided when you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account.

Information Collected Automatically

• Subscriber metadata -- signup date, subscription tier, and subscriber number, stored in Cloudflare KV.
• Usage data -- Cloudflare Analytics collects aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data such as page views, country of origin, and device type. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking scripts.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not currently collect passwords, financial information, or payment card numbers. When payment processing launches, all payment data will be handled directly by Stripe -- we will never see or store your card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Send you our newsletter and product updates.
• Communicate with you about your subscription or account.
• Improve and develop the platform based on aggregated usage patterns.
• Respond to your inquiries or support requests.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Subscriber data is stored in Cloudflare KV, which provides encryption at rest.
• Emails are sent via Mailgun under a data processing agreement.
• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption.
• We do not store personal data in browser local storage beyond standard operational cookies.
• We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services in operating MarketCrystal:

• Cloudflare -- hosting, CDN, KV data storage, and privacy-focused web analytics. Cloudflare may process your IP address for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Mailgun -- email delivery for newsletters and transactional emails. Your email address is shared with Mailgun for this purpose. See Mailgun's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe -- payment processing (when live). Stripe handles all payment data directly. We never receive or store your payment card information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• DefiLlama, CoinGecko -- market data providers. No user data is shared with these services.
• Anthropic -- AI analysis engine. No user data is shared with Anthropic. AI analysis is performed on market data only.

5. Cookies

MarketCrystal does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics.

Cloudflare may set technical cookies required for security and performance (e.g., __cf_bm for bot management). These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the service and do not track you across websites.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or retargeting pixels.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data by emailing hello@marketcrystal.ai.
• Unsubscribe: Opt out of newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

For EU/EEA Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the rights to access, rectification, erasure, data portability, restriction of processing, and objection. For California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act provides you with the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 7. Children's Privacy

MarketCrystal is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your subscriber data for as long as you maintain an active subscription or newsletter enrollment. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Aggregated, non-personally-identifiable analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of MarketCrystal after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
